Two violent cases again rocked the community over the past few days.

A man was shot in the stomach at around midnight on Sunday at the Twenty Lifestyle Shisanyama, Extension 20, in Sibongile.
He suffered a bullet wound to his stomach.
The suspect was arrested. An angry mob later stoned the suspect’s car with bricks. Damages to the car are valued at R15 000.
The owner of the vehicle opened a case of malicious damage to property.

And on Saturday evening, a Dlamini Village woman was raped after her boyfriend ‘discovered’ her talking to another man and accused her of infidelity on Saturday evening. The man assaulted her with a broom before forcing her to have sex with him. He was later charged.
