The Dundee Police have received two reports of firearm negligence over the past week.
In the first incident, police said a man accidentally shot and wounded a suspect, allegedly without the intention of harming him. Police said the man produced a firearm when he spotted a group of people chasing his cousin for reasons unknown. He fired a shot, which wounded one of the men. The gunman then took the wounded victim to the hospital. The victim was transferred to Newcastle hospital on Saturday.
In another incident, a security guard also accidentally shot himself point-blank in his foot, as his gun was allegedly not on safety. It is understood that the guard is a bodyguard to a local politician who is yet to be named.
