Concern for safety on busy, potholed road in Forderville

Mohamad Karrim, a Forderville resident, sits across from an Estcourt News reporter and brings up a subject that is like a disease Estcourt can’t shake off.

Growing in numbers like an epidemic, potholes scar majority of Estcourt’s roads. In this instance, Mr Karrim is speaking about the potholed roads in Forderville.

Mr Karrim suggests that the local municipality invest its money into service delivery problems like repairing roads.

“They are wasting money placing a fence around the town library; we used the library for more than 50 years without a fence. Where is that money coming from?” questioned Mr Karrim.
