A van load of marijuana seized from garden

They confiscated 1000 dagga plants with the street value of R50 000.

Warrant Officer Skosana and Warrant Officer Nel of the Dundee SAPS hade a fruitful morning today when they received a tip-off from a CPF member in Craigside about a house with a garden of dagga plants.

Upon arriving at the premises, police found dagga plants growing under a net of maize meal sacks. They confiscated around 1000 dagga plants with the street value of about R50 000.

The police asked the community to notify the SAPS about unlawfulness occurrences such as dagga plants amongst other things and they promised anonymity. ” We want to get dagga out of the streets and as far away from children as possible,” said Warrant Officer Nel.
