Joint operation leads to the recovery of drugs worth R30 000

They allegedly received a tip-off concerning a foreign national in the area who was believed to be in possession of a large quantity of CAT.

Around R30 000 worth of Methcathinone, otherwise known as CAT, was discovered at a residence in Arbor Park just recently.

The find was made during a joint intelligence-driven operation involving the Newcastle SAPS K9 Unit, members of Newcastle 911 CPF and a local security tactical team.

They allegedly received a tip-off concerning a foreign national in the area who was believed to be in possession of a large quantity of CAT.

Upon approaching the scene where the stash was to be found, it was determined that the suspect had already fled the scene, leaving the illegal drugs behind.

Further investigation is still pending, and as yet, no arrests have been made.

Owner of Newcastle 911 CPF and operational manager at a local security firm, commended all members for their commitment and outstanding performance in this operation.
