Sergeant Mkhize and the team from the Youth Desk visited Forderville Clinic on February 7.

Fresh spinach is distributed to patients at the clinic.

Here 38 patients were given fresh produce, which included spinach, cabbages, green peppers and cauliflower.

Sgt Mkhize says that this distribution is part of their programme to fight against poverty and crime in communities.

She added that the patients were encouraged to report crime in their community and work with police to root out criminal elements.
Patients were also urged to grow their own food by cultivating a garden at home.
