3 injured in crash at Protea / Pieters intersection, Ladysmith

2 of the injured were taken to hospital for further medical treatment

Three people were injured in a crash on Tuesday afternoon (December 5) at the Protea Drive / Pieters intersection.

The cause of the crash is unknown at this stage.

It is known that one vehicle was travelling on the Pieters road, heading towards Colenso, and the other from Protea Drive towards Ezakheni.

The crash took place at the intersection between the two roads.

Three people were injured and treated by paramedics for moderate injuries sustained.

Two of the injured were taken to hospital for further medical treatment.

Paramedics put one of the injured passengers into the ambulance

RTI, police and a towing service responded to the scene of the crash.

RTI conducted traffic control until the scene was cleared.
