Liam Muller from Bergville and Sheldon Spence from Cathkin Valley, (previously lived in Estcourt) completed their final year at DBCS,

Local boys have excelled at Drakensberg Boys Choir School (DBCS). Liam Muller from Bergville and Sheldon Spence from Cathkin Valley, (previously lived in Estcourt) completed their final year at DBCS, their grade nine year.

Liam received the following awards: Senior cross country athlete, senior swimmer, most talented endurance sport athlete, Senior Victor Ludorum, sports colours, music appreciation, music excellence, first in grade nine for Afrikaans, The Humanity trophy, trophy for dedication and devotion to DBCS Academic excellence and DUX of the school.

Sheldon achieved the following awards: First in grade nine for economic and management sciences, first in grade nine for natural sciences, second in grade nine, academic excellence (overall average above 80 percent), music excellence (overall distinction for music theory, aural training and music appreciation), community service award for selfless dedication to serving others, Timberlake trophy for showing unselfish concern for the welfare of others and assisting in all spheres of the school and academic honours.
