An ‘early morning eye-full’ for residents

Still, another messaged the Courier, saying that 'this is democracy and what we voted for - live and let be'.

Early morning church-goers and joggers got an eye-full this morning when they came across a naked man washing from a basin in a park off Victoria Street and adjacent to Simpson Crescent.

A caravan has been parked in the park for a couple of days, said residents who contacted the Courier, and the naked washer apparently is living in the caravan.

“The guy was notskaamto get butt naked and wash in public.  It was quite an eyeful as we were driving to church and had to get the kids to turn away so they could not see anything revealing.  We thought this was not a nudist colony.” said one Strathmore Park resident who declined to be named.

Another said it is understood that the man and maybe more men are staying in the caravan and are contractors in the area.

Another resident was more sympathetic saying that the ‘guy had no choice – maybe his boss should have put him in a B and B’

Still, another messaged the Courier, saying that ‘this is democracy and what we voted for – live and let be’.
