The CBD branch of MTN was hit by armed robbers this morning.
At around 9.30am this morning (October 5), it was reported six suspects stormed the store.
Ithemba Security was first to respond and helped avert a crisis.
One of the suspects was subsequently arrested by the security firm.
A firearm was later found abandoned near the store, on Harding Street.
While MTN staff are traumatised by the incident, no serious injuries were reported.
SAPS has since launched preliminary investigations into the crime.
