Reaching out and helping the Ladysmith community

The team handed out hot creamy soup and bread to 70 students

Project Cornerstone once again reached out to the community when co-ordinator Mr K Bihaspat, under the guidance of evangelist Matthew Lee and Mr and Mrs Lee from the Royal Hotel, touched the lives of students at Red Cross Foundation in St Chad’s. The team handed out hot creamy soup and bread to 70 students.

The same team then visited Bufford Primary School, where 45 lunch packs were distributed to children within the area, prepared and sponsored by the Royal Hotel.

The food parcels were much appreciated by the children and were graciously received with a smile.

Mr L Mayise and Mr K Bihaspat also shared a powerful message with the children titled “Prayer is power”. Mr Bihaspat emphasised that “when you go through the delays in life, don’t get discouraged. Don’t lose heart. Don’t give up! Instead of getting discouraged, be persistent and pray”.

The students were taught that there is always a delay between sowing and reaping. That you plant in one season and reap in another, so God wants to see if you’re going to keep cultivating, planting and sowing. If He sees consistency in your life, then the harvest will come.

God wants you to learn something.

The message also taught that: Every storm is a school. Every trial is a teacher.

Every experience is an education and every difficulty is for your development.

Thought for the week: “Accept God’s salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the spirit which is the Word of God” (Ephesians 6:17)
