PREVIEW: Paterson Street litter a disgraceful sight

"I was once so proud to say this is my home town, but as of late, I am embarrassed at the state of this place.”

Paterson; A litter-strewn street.

This is how the majority of residents and businesses that were approached, thought the condition of Paterson Street was – an utter disgrace.

“It’s disgusting!” stated one resident, who opted to remain anonymous.

The resident claimed there was no joy in coming to town anymore, as plastic litter, used condoms and building rubble marred the once beautiful parks and otherwise tidy roadsides.

“I cannot believe we were once named the cleanest town. Where did that pride go and why has it become acceptable that our streets look the way they do? I was once so proud to say this is my home town, but as of late, I am embarrassed at the state of this place.”
