People want abandoned ‘crime’ house to be demolished in Ladysmith

The house has been abandoned for years now, with broken walls, no windows or doors, and just some of the structure still standing

People in Ladysmith are complaining about an abandoned house in Kandahar Avenue, where they feel illegal activities are taking place.

The house has been abandoned for years now, with broken walls, no windows or doors, and just some of the structure still standing.

A Ladysmith Gazette journalist went out to see for herself, and found beer bottles and rubbish strewn all over the place.

Residents in the area believe that people take drugs there and that criminals use the house as a hideaway.

“Our town needs to be safe and I feel the municipality needs to demolish this building, because it’s only good for criminals and drug addicts,” said one resident.
