Limit Hill residents upset with foul sewer stench

Residents are concerned about hygiene and say the leak constitutes a health hazard in the area

Limit Hill residents are upset with the foul stench caused by a sewer leak in Second Avenue.

Residents are concerned about hygiene and say that the leak constitutes a health hazard in the area.

“The smell is terrible, not to mention the fact that the situation is unhygienic. Surely something should be done about the matter before someone gets sick,” complained a resident who lives nearby.

Residents also state that the sewer has been problematic over the years, as it leaks continuously even though municipal workers are seen trying to fix it from time to time.

The community urges uThukela to install new pipelines and fix the problem once and for all.
