Kunthi Ramdas turns 90 years old

Close friends and family took the opportunity to share their experience and memories of Mrs Singh on the day.

NEWCASTLE – Born in 1927, Kunthi Ramdass Singh celebrated her 90th birthday at the Nofta Hall on May 9.

Close friends and family took the opportunity to share their experience and memories of Mrs Singh on the day.

She was described as a person who always smiles in the face of adversity and spread that joy to those around her.

Although she has reached the milestone of 90 years, her friends and acquaintances said she does not look a day over 60.

“I think the breathing exercises and yoga I learnt in my younger days have helped me to stay fit as I grow older,” said a cheery Mrs Singh.

Mrs Singh has accumulated a wealth of wisdom of the years and imparts that knowledge to all she meets.

She is a giver of good advice and an ambassador of uplifting her culture.

“Life is a journey we all must enjoy the ride,” she advised.

After the death of her husband, Mrs Singh found she was alone and decided to join Nofta and meet people of the same age as her. Little did she know the impact she would have on many lives with her positive outlook and optimism.

She was instrumental in the inception of a satsang group organised by her at Nofta and enjoys singing.

She imparts with the following words: “Keep smiling and let the last years of your life be filled with happiness.”
