uThukela launches tourism interactive website in Ladysmith

Councillors and representatives of the uThukela District Municipality gathered at Naunton's Guest House to formally launch the all-new interactive website

The Tourism Department, under uThukela District Municipality, launched their official interactive website today (April 25) at Naunton’s Guest House.

Councillors and representatives of uThukela District Municipality gathered at Naunton’s to formally launch the all-new interactive website.

“As we are a home to many important heritage and historical sites such as the Drakensberg mountains, the battlefields, Ladysmith Black Mambazo and more, this site will ensure that potential tourists and investors know where to go and how to get there,” said Alfred Duma speaker Themba Ngubane.

The website addresses a number of requirements by implementing a simple-to-use, easy-to-access, mapping-based website application that provides users with the tools and data required.

In order to enable the user to rapidly make a reliable decision regarding these aspects, the website aims to assimilate various data sources into a single location, or portal, allowing easy access for end users.
