Al-Imdaad steps in to provide water to residents

Daily life has become an uphill battle without running water and residents have become reliant on the generosity of the Al-Imdaad Foundation for this basic need

It’s almost three weeks since some residents have had a steady supply of water in their homes. The areas that have been affected are contained to Forderville and water interruptions began on April 12.

Since then some residents have had erratic water supple but some none at all.

Daily life has become an uphill battle without running water and residents have become reliant on the generosity of the Al-Imdaad Foundation for this basic need.

The foundation’s staff have been driving around the affected streets providing water tor residents in need.

Yesterday 3 500 litres of drinkable water has been distributed via Jojo tanks and 500 litres of bottled water too.
Today 1 500 litres from Jojo tanks and 100 litres of bottled water was given to residents in affected areas.

This has relieved some of the frustration that most residents are feeling but seeking answers is still a challenge.
