Update: More areas to have no water in Ladysmith
uThukela has stated that due to an Eskom power failure, the Ezakheni Water Treatment Plant is down
Although uThukela has managed to restore water supply to some parts of Aloe Park and surrounding areas,​ more areas will be affected due to a technical problem at the water treatment plant.

They say that water supply will be compromised as a result in the following areas: Ezakheni, Acaciavale, parts of Steadville, and the Ithala industrial area.
The district municipality​ apologises for the inconvenience caused.
