22 injured in crash near Ladysmith

Paramedics assessed the situation and found that 21 people had sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate

22 people were injured this morning (February 24) after the minibus they were travelling in overturned on the N3 highway, 10km from the Bergville Plaza.

Paramedics arrived and found the vehicle lying on its side at the side of the road. The passengers had already climbed out of the taxi and were found walking around the scene.

Paramedics found that 22 people had sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate.

The injured were transported to Estcourt Hospital for further treatment.

Five people were removed privately to a nearby hospital.

It is alleged that a tyre burst, causing the driver to lose control of the vehicle.
