The past weekend saw 12 teams competing in the club mixed pairs competition.
Saturday saw the sections being played and the winners of the four sections that advanced through to the semi-finals were, Sylvia and Dirk, Carl and Hannelie, Dougie and Essie and Greg and Jo-Ann. Sunday saw the semi’s and finals being played and congratulations to the 2017 Mixed Pairs Champions, Greg and Jo-Ann on their victory in the final against Carl and Hannelie. A big thank you to all who contributed to the weekend and to those who brought eats, and those who came to support on Sunday, Jacques for the delicious potjie on Sunday and anyone that might have been missed, thank-you! Overall a great weekend was had by all.
The Overdale Farming Business League starts on Thursday evening, February 23. There is already 16 teams that have entered and the club is looking forward to hosting you all and having another successful business league. Bring your baskets, families and friends and enjoy a bit of shisanyama afterwards. The Bowls club wold like to wish all members competing in the Northern Zone Mens and Ladies pairs this weekend in Volksrust/Mahawane, the very best of luck. Good bowling to all. February 25/26: Northern Zone Men’s and Ladies Pairs in Volksrust/Mahawane. March 4/5: Northern Zone Mixed Pairs in Vryheid.
April 1/2: Northern Zone Mens and Ladies Open Fours in Dundee.
