Heavy rain: Low-lying areas are at risk as SA Weather Service issues flood warning in 5 provinces, including KZN

With the risk of flash floods expected to continue into the night, experts caution motorists not to attempt to cross bridges that are under water

A weather alert was issued by the SA Weather Service this morning for five provinces due to experience rainfall.

With reports that Ladysmith, including Van Reenen, may experience as much as 84mm of rain, concerns that small creeks and streams might burst their banks has become a real possibility.
