After many years of playing golf he managed to achieve his first perfect golfing Ace

Popular local golfer, Willie Maritz, was very elated on Saturday, when after many years of playing golf he managed to achieve his first perfect golfing Ace when he holed out his tee shot on the par 3 fourth hole at Dundee Country Club. Well done Willie!
Saturday’s club competition was a 4 BBBS event which saw the pairing of Billy Francis and Marc Bradbury scoring 47 points to win the day. Second position went to the father and daughter pairing of Danie and Sonel Von Mollendorff with 46 points, and following up in third place was Gene Robson and Churchill Maphanga on 42 points.

G Robson, M Bradbury and S Sithole all managed to score eleven or more points on the allocated jackpot holes to earn themselves a little extra cash. There were also three players to record a 2 Club on the par 3’s, B Francis on the 4th hole, A Mbatha on the 16th and Sonel Von Mollendorff making a 2 Club on both the 4th and 8th holes.
