Child escapes burning shack
The owner of the shack lost items such as his ID and other valuable documents
A shack in Acaciavale caught alight this morning (January 17).
It is believed that the owner had left to a nearby shop to buy some items, leaving a gas flame burning.
While away, the shack caught fire. A child luckily escaped before the flames became fierce.
The owner of the shack lost items such as his ID and other valuable documents that were inside the structure.
Firefighters managed to extinguish the blaze before it could spread to a brick house in the same yard.
No injuries were reported.
Public Safety officers were also on scene.
