MAHLONI Primary concluded the year with grade R and Awards function on November 30.
Firstly, we congratulate the grade R class of 2016 with 31 learners ready to go to Grade 1 in 2017. The year 2016 has had its ups and downs. The severe drought will be unforgettable in the lives of our learners.
At the Grade R function, we had our guest speaker, Miss B Buthelezi. In her keynote address, she highlighted the importance of discipline, love and the role of parents in the education, diet and acceptance of children.
To all learners who received certificates of excellence, the principal concluded by saying, “Dreams only become a reality if you take up the challenge to make them happen in your life. I would like to thank all my colleagues for their wonderful support, co-operation and their exemplary dedication and loyalty. My sincere gratitude goes to the school governing body and parents at large for their support. Once more, thanks to our sponsors, Shwabada Construction (nutrition supply), Oral Dental Solutions, Mr Mthembu and Miss Mngomezulu, and Mr Zulu, the Ward 7 Councillor. I wish all our learners, educators and parents a happy Christmas and new year. God has been our hallmark this year.”
