The community of St Chad’s is shocked and furious after four people were stabbed to death in the area on Saturday night and this morning (December 18), allegedly by the same man.
The man, who is said to be a trouble-maker in the community, was arrested after the brutal killings of four people in a matter of hours.
The man is believed to have fatally stabbed all four victims in the throat.
The community, along with the ward councillor and Mayor Vincent Madlala, gathered in St Chad’s today to discuss the matter.
“We, the people of St Chad’s, are furious and scared for our lives at the same time. This man has been a trouble-maker in the community and this is not the first time he has committed a heinous crime like this,” said a concerned community member.
It is alleged that the suspect has been involved in cases such as rape, theft and assault in the past.
Mayor Madlala gave his assurance that the perpetrator will face the full might of the law.
