eDumbe mayor promotes a cleaner town

eDUMBE Local Municipality, in partnership with other stakeholders, like AfriForum, Ratepayers Association, Business and Chamber of Commerce are on a mission to keep eDumbe clean.

The Municipal Councillors and officials started the Cleaning Campaign from the municipal buildings to the streets of eDumbe Town, Park and Taxi Rank.

The Hon Cllr Majuba Mavusa said eDumbe is the most beautiful place and gateway between the two provinces, KwaZulu-Natal and Mpumalanga and where the tourists pass. That is why our town should be kept clean at all times in order to attract tourists and business investors. He further stated that this campaign should take place at least once a month.

The Mayor and the Councillors promised that they are going to improve the condition which people are living under and the challenges they are facing. The people living in town promised the Mayor that they will keep the town clean every day as a means of cooperating with the initiative taken by the municipality.

“We appreciate the way our Mayor encouraged us on how to make our place clean,” said the people.
