The Thamizh Seva Sangum and the Glencoe Hindu Temple made Diwali special for residents of Endumeni

Diwali may have come and gone but thanks to the Thamizh Seva Sangum and the Glencoe Hindu Temple, residents around Endumeni have memories to last a lifetime.

The Thamizh Seva Sangum, a group of businessmen from Gauteng who joined hands to give back to the community, and the temple handed out over 150 grocery hampers to residents in Dundee, Glencoe, Wasbank, Dannhauser and even Newcastle, for Diwali.

This is the second time that the group has distributed hampers to residents for Diwali. Residents who received hampers were of all races and religions.

Former Endumeni Mayor, Thulani Mahaye, also assisted with distribution of the hampers. Mr Mahaye said that he had a long-standing interest in the Glencoe Hindu Temple and was a keen supporter of their activities.
