Angels share the festive spirit

“We are really hoping that we can help more people in the future and encourage others to follow suit.”

NEWCASTLE – In the true spirit of Christmas, the Kelfit Angels have spread festive cheer among children of Morester Children’s Home.

On Wednesday, November 16, Liza Chan, Lizelle van Heerden and Annatjie Smuts of Kelfit Angels donated sweets as well as basic toiletries and other necessities to the children.

“This is our first community project and it was really well supported. We managed to raise R7 200 within 24 hours, which went to buying everything for the donation,” said Mrs Chan.

The Kelfit Angels also want to take the children out to supper in the forseeable future.

“We are really hoping that we can help more people in the future and encourage others to follow suit,” Mrs Chan said.

Ria Naudè of Morester said the donation was truly appreciated.

“We do not get much funding during December and January, so we are thankful for the donation as it will go a long way.”
