TAXI CITY – Newcastle police are investigating the theft out of motor vehicle which occurred on October 10 at the Newcastle Taxi Rank.
According to police reports, the victim was inside a taxi when an unidentified man grabbed her cellphone and ran away.

With the help of the community, a 28-year-old man was arrested.
The suspect appeared in the Newcastle Magistrate’s Court on October 11.
Further investigation continues.
