WIN tickets to Talana Live on Saturday

The Talana Museum grounds will hum with the sound of gun fire

THIS weekend sees the exciting Talana Live festival which brings history back to life at Talana Museum.

Besides the re-enactment of the battle of Talana, fought between the Boers and the British, the day starts as early as 10am with a parade through town featuring classic cars, re-enactors dressed in period costumes and a marching band from the Medical Battalion.

The Museum grounds will hum with the sound of gun fire (blanks only), classic engines while for those wanting to support  local crafters and artists, there will be plenty on display to keep the browsers happy.

Lots to eat and drink and a fun treasure hunt to keep the kids busy.  And remember:  for the second year in a row that The Lions River Railway Company brings a most unique experience. A wonderful trip for all ages aboard the replica 1899 Mini Steam Train, ‘Doreen’!
