The bystander then walked away and was shot in the back by the driver.

The driver then fired another round into the ground to scare off the municipal worker, who fled and contacted the police for assistance.

Police arrested the driver, and have since launched an investigation into the shooting.

Mayor, Makhosini Nkosi said he heard about the shooting, and expected the law to take its course.

“What we need to do, is teach people to control themselves. This is not acceptable.”
