Forderville Primary School hosted a glittering Debutants Ball in early August this year. 20 learners from grade one to four were presented to the Matron of Honour, Mrs L Sookraj wife of Principal and Guest of Honour Mr AB Sookraj.
Entertainment for the evening was provided by the ever-popular dance band, men in Black. V and A Décor and Marquee Hire provided the décor and meals for the evening.
Ecstatic programme directors Mrs MD Bansilall and Mrs S Ramkissoon were bubbling with excitement as they announced the amount raised by the 20 participants.
A staggering amount of R194 000 was raised. Priyanka Authar was declared overall winner having raised R40 000, followed by Kimeshan Naidoo (R30 000) Ashlen Ramthol (R22 000) and Neha Ramluckan (R21 000).
Mr Sookraj thanked all the parents, service providers, sponsors, Men in Black and patrons for making the evening a night to remember.
