Get ready to wrap up warmly – it’s going to get cold

If watching the All Blacks and Boks play on Saturday gives you a cold shiver, what about a good book from the library to keep you busy while keeping warm indoors?

Enjoy the Friday sunshine while you can.  The temperature is expected to hit a maximum of 31 degrees today before the on-rushing cold front sees a rapid plunge in the mercury.

A maximum of only 16 degrees has been predicted for tomorrow with much-needed rain expected in the afternoon along with thunderstorms.  It is even colder on Sunday.

A minimum of six degrees has been predicted with a maximum of just nine.  Sadly, however, the weatherman does not expect too much rain to fall.

Temperatures will recover on Monday, with a maximum of 17 and on Tuesday things are almost ‘back to normal’ with a high of 25 degrees.

So how do you plan to keep this weekend?  Watch the Boks play the All Blacks in New Zealand tomorrow morning?

If that is too painful here are some more tips for you:

  •  Warm yourself first – It’s easier to change your body temperature than the room temperature, not to mention more eco-friendly.
  •  Enjoy a cup of warm coffee, tea, hot chocolate or whatever you prefer.
  •  Load up on warm blankets and clothing — instead of turning up the heat, put on another layer of clothing.
  • Snuggle up in bed or on the coach with your favourite book or TV show.
