NEWCASTLE – Don’t put those winter coats away yet!

Newcastillians are advised to prepare themselves for a wet week ahead.

Severe thunderstorms are expected in parts of KwaZulu-Natal. This is according to the latest report from the South African Weather Service (SAWS). A warning of high fire danger over the western Bushveld of Limpopo is also forecast.

“On Tuesday, minimum temperatures will be cool to cold in southern parts of SA.”

Tuesday will bring with it a 60 per cent chance of rain in parts of KwaZulu-Natal and the eastern parts of the Free State.

SAWS reported that rainfall would persist on Wednesday, and a 30 per cent chance of precipitation is anticipated on Thursday.
