CENTRAL – Newcastle Police are investigating a case of robbery, which occurred on August 25.

It is alleged the victim was walking in Scott Street, when an unknown man grabbed her necklace and fled the scene.
Newcastle Police warn members of the public not to carry valuables or large amounts of money with them.

They also urge people not to wear expensive jewellery in town, which may attract criminals.
