Bongani conquers Mpati race

Without these guys and girls the event would have not reached the milestone of 40 years

Vryheid’s Bongani Msimango beat the bunch to claim this year’s Mpati Mountain Race title.
It was a pretty hot day for trail running, especially up Mpati, but most of the runners and walkers enjoyed a good day!

A special thanks to all those volunteers who support this event, year after year, in one way or another, and to Dundee Junior School for the use of their facilities. Without these guys and girls the event would have not reached the milestone of 40 years.
The sponsors this year were Orange Grove Dairies (water sachets, juices etc), Equi Accounting (prize money), Jenny Internet and ABI for the Coca Cola.
First male on the finish line was Bongani Msimango from Vryheid AC in the time of 1:05:20. Second male: Kwenza Ngubane from Maxt Elite 1:05:42.
