Science sizzles at Ichthus

Each grade moved around the hall and spent five minutes at each table to observe how science experiments are done.

On Wednesday August 17, the Grade RR to Grade 7 learners experienced sizzling science at Ichthus Christian School.
To celebrate science week, Ichthus Christian School hosted a day of science experiments and celebrated the miracle of science that has been created by God.
Each grade moved around the hall and spent five minutes at each table where staff members carried out science experiments which included: showing the difference between heating a balloon filled with water and a balloon filled with air, neutralisation by using vinegar and ammonia, using a potato as a conductor of electricity, anti-gravity water, keeping a table tennis ball in the air with a hair dryer and using the chemical reaction of vinegar and baking soda to blow up a balloon, just to name a few.
All the learners watched the experiments in awe and Ichthus is sure that one day there will be a few enthusiastic Ichthus scientists out there in the world. It was truly a fun learning experience.
