Devotees celebrate Maha Janumasthami

The Sat-Chit-Ananda Temple Society celebrated Maha Janumasthami. This day was said to be the day Lord Krishna was born, the 16 incarnation of God.

The Sat-Chit-Ananda Temple Society celebrated Maha Janumasthami on Thursday, August 25. This day was said to be the day Lord Krishna was born, the 16 incarnation of God.

The ceremony was divided into two segments were the first half took place from 5.30pm until 9pm as devotees bath the murthi of Lord Krishna while continuously reciting the bhagan Hare Krishna.

The second half of the festivity commenced from 9.30pm until 12.30am which included a hawan and offering of parsad.
