Burst sewer pipe angers community

Drivers and passersby are complaining about the disgusting sight and smell of human waste

A burst sewer pipe in Main Road has left motorists upset about the seemingly endless sewage problems in the area.

An anonymous caller told the Ladysmith Gazette that the pipe has been leaking for two weeks now and still hasn’t been fixed, with raw sewage flowing down the side of the road.

Drivers and passersby are complaining about the disgusting sight and smell of human waste, and enquiring as to why this is not a priority of uThukela’s to repair.

Construction workers who are busy in Main Road urge the district municipality to come and fix the pipe immediately.
