N3 Cedara crash leaves one dead

At 1.25am on Friday morning Netcare 911 paramedics responded to a collision on the N3 southbound in Cedara in the Midlands.

Reports from the scene indicate that a car rear-ended a heavy motor vehicle, exact detail to the cause of the crash and preceding events however remain a subject for police investigation.

Paramedics arrived at the scene and found a man in his thirties still trapped in the twisted frame of his vehicle.

Tragically, the man died before our arrival due to the extensive injuries that he sustained, the driver of the truck was not injured in the crash.
