Youngster Njabulo and Mighty Joe smash their PB’s at Time Trials

Njabulo broke the junior boys record in a fantastic time in the 2km boys run event

2km Walk/Jog Ladies: 1st Anri Maree 16m15s.
2km Walk Mens: 1st Anand Soobramoney 20m15s.
2km Run boys: 1st Njabulo Duma 10m07s (PB).
3km Run Ladies: 1st Jayrushka Massalia 15m42s. 2nd Kholiwe Buthelezi 21m33s.
4km Run Ladies: 1st Thobeka Mbatha 20m55s, 2nd Thobeka Shezi (time not taken).
4km Walk Boys: 1st Suheshan Soobramoney 34m31s.
4km Run Mens: 1st Bongani Sabelo 13m33s, 2nd Joe Khumalo 13m 34s (PB), 3rd Lindani Sangweni 15m35s, 4th Petrus Mavuso 16m45s, 5th Reynier van Rensburg 18m11s (PB), 6th Zwelihle Duma 18m36s, 7th Sphephelo Ntshingila 19m17s.
Sandy walked a credible time to win the ladies 2km walk event. Anri finished in a good time in the ladies 2km walk/jog event. Anand did well in his debut in the 2km mens walk event. Njabulo broke the junior boys record in a fantastic time in the 2km boys run event. Miss “Consistent” Jayrushka is always on form in the 3km ladies run event followed by Kholiwe. Thobeka Mbatha ran an excellent tie in the 4km ladies run event followed by Thobeka Shezi.
Suheshan was unlucky to have taken the wrong route but still did well to complete the 4km boys walk event in a good time on his debut. The competition in the 4km run proved too strong with all seven runners breaking the 20 minute barrier. Bongani edged out a flying “Mighty” Joe Khumalo in the home “straight.
