Krieket by DHS slaan die asems weg

They have also been selected for the final Inlands trials on October...

Die afgelope week het Hoërskool Dundee hulle eerste wedstryd van die seisoen teen Sarel Cilliers gespeel.
After being sent in to bat first, a lot of running, rocking, rolling and diving was done to pile on the runs. A special mention should go out to Ashley Laloo, who had the most graceful dive to keep the partnership between him and Brandon Grondein going. Brandon went on to make 84 runs not out, well supported by Ashley with 49 runs.
Na ‘n puik boulvertoning deur al DHS boulers is Sarel uitgeknikker in die 18de boulbeurt, en daardeur wen DHS die wedstryd met 123 lopies. Die speller van die wedstryd was Brandon Grondein.
Not to be out done, the u/15 cricket team of DHS played their first game away against Vryheid High and beat them convincingly by 53 runs.
DHS is proud to announce that two of senior players, Dean Lambert and Akeel Singh, have been chosen to represent the KZN Inlands Invitational squad at the Weston Cricket Week in the upcoming holiday. They have also been selected for the final Inlands trials on October 14. Cricket is cooking this year at DHS!
DHS u/15 cricket boys go on tour
On Friday, August 12, the excited u/15 cricket team departed for Pongola to go on their annual tour. They played against Felixton, Landbou and Vryheid High’s respective first teams and performed very well. They beat Landbou and gave Vryheid High a good scare. It was noted by the coaches that Jan Frederik van Zyl was very good with the bat. The boys learned a lot about teamwork, skill and endurance.
