Ichthus athletes smash records at interhouse

Record breakers...

On Saturday, August 13 Ichthus hosted their yearly athletics meeting which was approached with great enthusiasm. Ichthus was blessed with wonderful weather! Congratulations to all the participants who performed so well!
The following athletes were awarded with trophies and medals: Junior Victrix Ludorum: Zandisiwe Maphalala; Junior Victor Ludorum: Siphume Ntombela; Senior Victrix Ludorum: Bianca Meintjes; Senior Victor Ludorum: Hayden Caldecott. Best u/9 boy: Panashe Chawanda. Best u/9 girl: Siyathokoza Mthabela. Best u/14 boy: Calvin McDonald. Best individual achievement of the day: Tiana Maritz for Shotput with a total of 742 points on the ASA table. Congratulations to the Blue team on receiving the winning trophy and the Green team on receiving the trophy for the best spirit.

Ichthus would like to thank Dundee High School for the use of their athletics facilities – Ichthus appreciates it very much! Thank you to all the teachers and parents who are involved in training the athletes during the season and who helped as officials. We look forward to the Northern KZN Athletics which Ichthus will be hosting this weekend, 20 August, at the Dundee High School fields.
