Glencoe Hindu Temple fire walking prayer
The Glencoe Hindu Temple will host the annual Dropathieammen and Marieammen fire walking prayer from July 29 (flag hoisting from 5.30pm) to Sunday, July 31. Supper will be at 5.30pm on Saturday, July 30, while the Agni Pooja prayer will be conducted from 5.30pm on Saturday, July 30.The fire walking prayer will start at 9am on Sunday, July 31, and lunch will be provided. Music fun day now at Golf Club (not Squires)
The musical fun day will now be held at the Golf Club rather than at at Squires. The fun starts at 1pm and is open to under 18’s too. All are invited to play – plug in and play with an open mic. The venue is child friendly and food and beverages (no alcohol to be served to under 18’s) are available from the club. Artists from Johannesburg and Pretoria will be in attendance. DunGlen Club ladies reunion
The DunGlen Club is hosting a reunion at the SAVF Hall, Glencoe, for all past and present members. Bookings at R150 per person. Details: Marlene at 073 330 1166.
5km Gandhi Walk
Please join us at the Talana Museum, Dundee, for this special walk at 2:30 pm on July 30.
Entry fee is R20. Certificates of participation to every walker who completes the walk.
Listel and Vicky (the play)
Glencoe Primary School. 6:30pm. Live music by Listel and an eye-opening play about human trafficking and drug abuse based in the popular book Vicky by author Hendrick Bergh. Food stall available.
