Citrus catastrophe on the N3

Passing motorists and truck drivers stopped to scoop up boxes of oranges that were strewn along the freeway

Motorists and pedestrians were in for a ‘citrus surprise’ on Sunday when a truck transporting oranges overturned. This was reported between Mooi River and Nottingham Road. A local who was passing at about 2.30pm said that traffic on both the north and south bound lanes were obstructed as passing motorists and truck drivers stopped to scoop up boxes of oranges that were strewn along the freeway.

The truck was carrying a load of oranges, which was strewn along the freeway.
