2 arrested for close to 80kg of dagga

The suspects appeared in the Estcourt Magistrate's Court on Monday

Amangwe police officers arrested two people for possession of close to 80kg of dagga on Friday, July 22.

The officers were on patrol at about 10pm when they received information about two homesteads allegedly keeping dagga. They went to the said houses and upon searching them, police seized dagga weighing in at 79.5kg.

Two suspects, aged 33 and 48, were arrested for possession of dagga.

They briefly appeared in the Estcourt Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
