Elderly Weenen man is missing

The man, aged 78, was last seen walking towards his homestead at about 5pm

On Youth Day, June 16 Weenen resident Bhekinkosi Mbhele did not make it home.

The man, aged 78, was last seen walking towards his homestead at about 5pm.

Unfortunately the elderly man did not make it home and police have since started investigating a missing person’s case.

“He was last seen wearing a black jersey, green jacket, brown trouser and black gumboots,” said police spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Thulani Zwane.

The Weenen police are making an urgent appeal to anyone who may have seen Mr Mbhele to contact Warrant Officer SM Madondo on 036 354 1611 or 082 462 9313. Alternatively report information to Crime Stop on 08600 10111.
