Saturday’s club competition at Dundee Country Club saw a very mediocre field of 30 golfers competing in the 4 BBBS event. Old timer, Mike Gardner and his partner Dave Donaldson, combined well to score 46 points and win the competition.
They were two points ahead of the pairing of Coenie Munro and Heinrich Meyer who scored 44 points.
There were all of seven players who managed to record a 2 Club on the day, and they were; A Patterson, L De Witt, W Maritz, D Donaldson, W Du Plessis, R Streak and R Purchase. The Friday afternoon meat competition also only saw a handful of golfers taking part with Shakeel Kalideen coming out tops with 22 points, followed by Kevin Donaldson on 21 points. Forthcoming fixtures: Friday, July 22, 10 Hole Meat Competition; Saturday, July 23, I.P.S. Club competition and the following Friday afternoon, July 29, will see the third event of the very popular 10 Hole Cross Country Golf Challenge.
