Relay for Life in full swing

The Relay will take place at the Forderville Primary School athletic track and the entire community is invited to be part of it

Plans are in full swing for the eighth 24-hour Relay for Life, which is coming up in September. Clear your diary on Saturday, September 3 and Sunday, September 4 so you can be part of one of Estcourt’s biggest community fundraisers.

The Relay will take place at the Forderville Primary School athletic track and the entire community is invited to be part of it.

This event is the only 24-hour Relay in South Africa and aims to collect funds that are vital in providing research and education about cancer.

Backed by the Cancer Association of South Africa, the Relay is a worldwide recognised fundraising initiative. Entry fees are R1 000 per team, this includes a participation fee of R500, R300 for a tent and R200 for the Luminaria bags.

Individuals pay R20 for entry. For more information contact Event Chair Anil Sookraj on 036 352 3720 or 083 787 2277.
