Social media messages warning of petrol and diesel running out at fuel stations by today (Thursday) are false.

There is no fuel strike; fuel deliveries and supplies to service stations across the country remain as normal.

Chemical Union Ceppawu say they are unaware of messages making the rounds on social media telling of a strike or fuel not being available at petrol stations, and added that these messages are all false.

Currently, petrol inland costs R12.96 a litre and diesel R11.29 a litre.

You can fill up anytime, at your leisure, without worrying about a strike or fuel shortages!
